    1982: KAEFER receives a large order from Indonesia for the construction of an LNG gas liquefaction plant.

    1984: Europe’s coldest large wind tunnel is built in Cologne. Know-how from KAEFER makes it possible.

    1985: KAEFER takes on the interior outfitting of a hotel and office complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

    1986: Competence in interiors. The ferries Karl Carstens and Peter Pan are equipped by the insulation specialists from Bremen.

    In New Zealand, KAEFER builds the first large-scale plant for the direct conversion of natural gas into high-quality fuel.

    1987: KAEFER insulates the storage tanks of a brewery in China.

    1989: KAEFER sets up KAEFER Entsorgungstechnik GmbH, making an important contribution to health and environmental safety.

    1990: KAEFER opens new branches in the Czech Republic and Hungary. In France too, KAEFER takes the first steps towards establishing a presence.

    1996: KAEFER develops the new sound-absorbing foil MICROSORBER® in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute.
